The training material spanned two days, each with its distinct focus. The first day featured presentations from experts across various fields—Technical, Economic, Legal, and Operational—under the theme “Energy Communities in Italy: Comprehensive Insights into Their Evolution, Barriers, and Prospects”. This was followed by engaging discussions among participants. The Italian stakeholders involved included ENEA, the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, GSE, Electric Service Operator, RSE, Research on the Electric System.
In the second day a roundtable discussion took place with representatives from policy maker and institutional stakeholders, ARERA, Authority for the regulation of the electricity network and environment from Italy, Centre of Renewable Energy Sources and Saving from Greece and IDAE Spain, facilitating significant knowledge sharing and exchange of experiences.. Moreover the Energy Community “A tutto sole” located in Santa Marinella had a brief presentation of its activities.
This event marked a significant milestone, providing a comprehensive examination of the development of energy communities in Italy from multiple perspectives. It ensured that the training material for future trainees is not only thorough and complete but also addresses the key challenges and opportunities energy communities are facing in today’s landscape.
