On June 3rd and 4th, the second ‘Train the Trainer’ event of the EU-NETS project took place in Athens, Greece. As part of Work Package 2, titled ‘Energy Community Manager Training Course Design and Implementation’, this transnational training course deepened the themes identified and developed so far, specifically focusing on the Greek context.
The training material spanned two days, each with its distinct focus. The first day featured presentations from experts across various fields—Technical, Economic, Legal, and Operational—under the theme “Energy Communities in Greece: Comprehensive Insights into Their Evolution, Barriers, and Prospects”. This was followed by engaging discussions among participants.
The highlight of the second day was a roundtable discussion with representatives from Energy Communities in Greece, Italy, and Spain, facilitating significant knowledge sharing and exchange of experiences.
This event marked a significant milestone, providing a comprehensive examination of energy communities in Greece from multiple perspectives. It ensured that the training material for future trainees is not only thorough and complete but also addresses the key challenges and opportunities energy communities are facing in today’s landscape.
